About Dr. Cynara
She is the Chief of Breast Surgery and Director of the Comprehensive Breast Center at Northwell Health Staten Island University Hospital. She is credited with spearheading efforts that led to the establishment of the Comprehensive Breast Center. Previously, Dr. Cynara worked at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Centre and Lennox Hill Hospital where she was a colleague to Dr. Samadi. Dr. Cynara’s career has been marked by a commitment to treat both malignant and benign tumors. While she is not in the theatre performing breast surgery, she is creating awareness about breast cancer.
Who is Dr. Samadi?
Some say he is a celebrity doctor because of his hard to miss media exposure; he is continuously present on TV, the internet, social media, and medical publications. However, the current Chairman of Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital is using the media exposure for a good cause: enlightening Americans on various medical conditions, how to avoid them, manage them, etc. The board-certified doctor specialized in urologic disease especially prostate cancer and minimally invasive procedures for treating it. Dr. Samadi left his native country, Iran, for the U.S when he was 15 years.
